Study Day

9 September 2012

Today our study abroad group decided to get together at Z and Paige's apartment for a study group, since our placement tests at Stendhal University are tomorrow - the moment of truth! Me being so paranoid about public transportation, I caught an early bus and ended up arriving an hour and a half early. Whoops...but I took this time to explore a little bit on my own, and oh goodness did I explore! I found yet another gorgeous park called Parc Paul Minstral, a huge park where families and kids were playing frisbee, rollerblading, skateboarding, and the coolest thing I've ever seen, tying those harnesses that they use on trucks to secure cargo between trees and using them as mini tightropes. I thoroughly enjoyed my little moment of solitude and peace in such a joyous place!

Keep the doggies on a leash!

After exploring for a bit on my own, I finally met up with the others and we headed over to the apartment for some French placement exam studying. It wasn't so much as studying as it was panicking and freaking out, but we did manage to all chat for a bit in French and enjoy each other's company. After grabbing a slice of pizza, cherry cola, and a raspberry pastry (which was too delicious), I headed home to do some more private studying of my own: Listening to French music, reading my French books, writing some mock e-mails in French, and just downright feeling French. =)

Me at the apartment!
